// Programmes
Three ways to develop a clearer drafting practice.
From a two-evening Refresher to a year-long department engagement — each programme works on the documents participants actually produce at work.

How Indemnia programmes are structured
Every programme at Indemnia follows the same underlying structure: a short teaching segment, structured exercises using the participant's own documents, and specific written or spoken feedback. The ratio of teaching time to writing time is always weighted towards writing time.
This structure holds across all three programme types. What changes is the depth and duration. The Refresher covers a focused set of topics over two evenings. The Series moves through six areas over six weeks, building progressively. The Department Programme runs across twelve months with quarterly workshops, an audit, a tailored guide and an exercise library.
The common thread is that participants work on material they are already responsible for producing. The skills develop in context rather than in the abstract.
Teaching segment
Short, focused instruction on one specific drafting principle — sentence structure, paragraph architecture, signposting, tone calibration, or similar.
Structured exercise
Participants apply the principle to a section of their own document. Time is allocated for this in the session — it is not homework.
Feedback
Peer and facilitator feedback on the exercise output. For the Series, additional written notes are sent to each participant after the session.
Reference materials
Workbook, checklist and (for departments) a tailored drafting guide. These are designed as working tools, not filing items.

Writing Clarity Refresher
Two evenings · SGD 165
A focused two-evening workshop on plain-language drafting, suitable for any professional whose work involves long, dense written documents. Topics include sentence rhythm, paragraph architecture, word-choice trade-offs, structural signposting and consistent terminology. The workshop pairs short teaching segments with structured exercises on participants' own sample paragraphs, with peer feedback inside a small group.
What participants receive
- Written workbook covering all session topics
- One-page editing checklist for daily use
- Curated reading list for further development
- Small-group peer feedback on exercise text
Best suited for
Professionals who want a focused, low-commitment entry point to plain-language drafting. Suitable for individuals or for small groups of colleagues attending together. No prior writing training required.

Drafting Skills Series
Six weeks, live online · SGD 495
A structured six-week programme for working professionals who want to lift the clarity and structure of the documents they regularly produce. The series moves through clarity, structure, tone, formality calibration, structural drafting and finishing touches. Each week pairs a teaching segment with a structured exercise on a participant-supplied document, peer feedback and written instructor notes. Concludes with a portfolio-style closing piece. Cohort size is capped at sixteen.
Six-week curriculum
Clarity — sentence-level tightening and word-choice principles
Structure — paragraph architecture and logical sequencing
Tone — calibrating register and formality to the audience
Formality — navigating the spectrum between plain and formal
Structural drafting — building multi-section documents with coherence
Finishing — editing, consistency checks and the portfolio piece

// Standards
How we maintain quality across all programmes
Participant document privacy
Documents shared by participants are used only within the session context. They are not retained, circulated or referenced after the programme ends.
Annual curriculum review
Programme materials are reviewed each year against participant feedback and developments in plain-language practice. Updates are made before the next cohort opens.
Cohort cap is firm
The sixteen-person cap on the Series is not adjusted when demand is high. When a cohort fills, enquiries are held over to the next available date.
Written scope for departments
Department clients receive a written scope document before work begins. What is included across the twelve months is agreed and documented clearly.
Audit-led department work
The writing audit at the start of the Department Programme is a structured review, not a general conversation. Findings are documented and inform the entire twelve-month engagement.
SkillsFuture-aligned
Programme design is mapped against Singapore SkillsFuture frameworks for professional communication, supporting participants who wish to log their learning against recognised competencies.
